Applies GAAP principles and best accounting practices from the manufacturing field. Reconcile and analyze company accounts and books, consolidate financial statements, and prepare various reports to support the manufacturing, logistics, and sales functions. Leads a team of 3 accounting support professionals with training and coaching focused on professional and personal development.

Utilize PC and keyboard to enter information into various accounting programs, Excel spreadsheets, etc.
Ensure team compliance with all GAAP requirements.
Apply GAAP requirements to maintain proper internal accounting controls.
Open and close general ledger at each month.
Prepare company financial statements.
Conduct variance analysis for expense accounts.
Reconcile and analyze corporate general ledger accounts.
Prepare journal entries for entry into general ledger each accounting period.
Input journal entries for corporate activity.
Comply with cost accounting practices and utilizes standard cost systems.
Prepare various government reports and tax returns.
Assist the CFO in developing the annual budget.
Consolidate financial statements and prepare internal management reports.
Support physical inventory by facilitating AS400 winex and beerex inventory reports and reconciliation.
Participate in monthly physical inventory process by conducting initial and repeat counts as needed to reconcile count discrepancies.
Month end prepare Foodbuy report and send to vendor. Prepare hotel reimbursements and chef rebates.
Manage and prioritize assigned tasks and deliver on time completion.

5+ years in positions of increasing responsibility and accountability in the Accounting field.
Bachelors Degree.
3+ years of team members coaching and mentoring experience.
3+ years experience developing, implementing, and maintaining internal accounting controls.
3+ years ERP accounting systems
Intermediate MS Excel skill level.
Experience with MS Office products including IE, Word, Outlook.
3+ years PC based accounting systems
Demonstrated success in a fast-paced working environment that shows ability to multi task, meet deadlines, apply GAAP, develop team members, and accounting acumen.
CPA Certification
CPA or Public Accountant experience

5+ years experience in manufacturing cost accounting roles.
Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA acceptable.

We are a manufacturer of coffee and tea products. Our team members will encounter work environments ranging from air conditioned, low noise office settings, to the production/warehouse area that is not climate controlled and has a moderate noise level from operating machinery. Typically, production and warehouse positions spend most of their work time in the production/warehouse facility while the support and sales positions spend most of their time in an office environment. Team members will perform work in both environments.
